On 24th, after 3 months, the volunteers visited Babfor Team in Dapsimni, Dongdaemungu. Before the day of visiting, there was lots of raining. But the day of visiting was shined with great weather and volunteers could participate in the services more actively. After the orientation at headquarter, they scattered followed their duties and schedules such as ‘cooking and preparing ingredients’, ‘distributing meals’, and ‘cleaning after meal’.
Divided into outside and inside, the preparing and cleaning of ingredients were started in earnest. The volunteers gathered by 3 or 4 peoples each to trim anchovies at outside and other volunteers cut onions, cucumbers, mushrooms, and bok choy to be sugarcoated at inside. At 11 o’clock, after finished preparing, the distribution was preceded. The volunteers greeted to the elderly while giving wishes for the wellness of them. By delivering food trays to elderly very carefully as in order, the volunteers expressed their respect to the elderly. There was limitation of food trays so volunteers tried and cooperated to distribute quickly and smoothly for the elderly which made a long line of waiting. Even the distribution lasted about one and half hours, volunteers never expressed tiredness and felt proud when they saw the elderly who were eating food very deliciously.
For the cleanness of the kitchen, the volunteers did their best to cleaned and washed dishes and so forth. While remembering the catch praise of Babfor team that ‘From now, from here, from small things that I can do, from me, we will start’, the volunteers finished Beautiful action with thankful mind that they can give help to the team. Meanwhile, BMC delivered the 15 packs of rice and 8 boxes of cloths to the team with sharing minds. We hope your participations and attentions to the Beautiful action as moment of sharing.
