The BMC volunteers visited ‘Happy Together Farm’ located Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do for the Beautiful Action of May. It was the good weather of clean sky and cool breeze for the volunteers to do their volunteering. Since it was the Saturday, there were many volunteers than usual with the companion of volunteers’ children and friends. It was The beautiful action after October of last year so the farmers and volunteers were glad to meet again each other. 

 First of all, there was an orientation for the people who visit the farm for the first time. The Director of Happy Together Farm explained the information about farm, the vocational rehabilitation center for severely disabled person, and the reason of why the farm has changed their main crop of cultivation. Because they had   problems for supplying agricultural water to tomatoes and mushrooms, they had to change the crop to flowers. The main duty of the day was the work related with main product pansies and violas.

 The works given to volunteers were making space for the flowers so they can grow well. After the listening the director’s explain, the volunteers made teams as three people in one team and started the work sitting around the piled soil. First they laid transparent vinyl on the broad plank with a hole to prevent the soil not to spilled, laid a net to move the flower with root, and put the soil about 3cm tall. Also from the used flowerpot, the volunteers separated the pot, root and soil and padded soil. After that, they made about 400s spaces for the plantation and lined them at the side of vinyl greenhouse. The related person of farm said that it was the work taking one week for the disabilities and the farm could reduce the time by the volunteers. From his saying, the volunteers made a smile like they never had tired moments from volunteering. 

 The lunch was very delicious after the sweaty and joyful outreach. The farm directors and disabilities also enjoyed the meal which was prepared by BMC. After the lunch, the BMC volunteers delivered ‘official replicator’ and that was needed for the farm. The farm also gave the pansy and herb flowers to the volunteers on by on. After taking a group picture, the volunteers ended the Beautiful action of May with graceful heart.
