On the 9th of September, volunteers of Beautiful Mind Charity visited Gabriel's House. Thanks to members of Board of Directors of BMC and their friends who also took part in this--we had a total of 11 volunteers one this day. For the newcomers, there was a brief orientation before the actual community service started.
After meeting every single member at the Gabriel's House, volunteers went out to the backyard to peel onions. They not only peeled but also chatted. How time flies! They were done before they knew they were.
During the mini concert, friends of Gabriel's House sang along and danced with the piano melody. Seeing it warmed our hearts.
Daniel, one of the members of Gabriel's House, sang a song that he has been practicing and played the piano for us. His stage was very meaning for us. We could really feel and connect with Daniel through his performance.
After the concert, it was time for some curry. Each volunteer paired up with each member of the Gabriel's House and assisted him, engaging in conversation at the same time.
Volunteers divided up to wash the dishes, sweep and mop the floor, and take care of the kids.
Although the members of Gabriel's House had some trouble communicating and expressing their feelings, we hope they had a great time having us.
